Dreams Vs Reality.....

The actual meaning of dream is - a series of events or images that happen in your mind when you are sleeping.

And the actual meaning of reality is - the state of things as they are, rather than as they are imagined to be.

Both the words have very crucial connection in our life. When we start our life we start dreaming quite a lot. We dream about our future…what we want to become in life…what we want to achieve…At that moment we are farm believer that sky is the limit and we can achieve whatever we dream for. Nothing is impossible or as we say I am possible. We are youth and surely we have the license for dream big. Sometimes as over confident we ignore our parents advice and tried to stick to our dreams or our future goals. We never see the other side of the coin i.e if we fail to achieve that then what will happen. Is there any plan b for us? Our well wishers always tried to make us understand that but we never give any importance to that.

It is quite funny that when I took elective subject as Biology in class nine I only thought that I will study medical after passing twelve standards. I wanted to become a doctor. I got highest marks 87% in class ten exam in Biology and it gave me enough confidence to peruse my own dream firmly. In class twelve I got around 85% and studied bioscience only to clear the entrance exam and ignoring maths. Always got highest marks in our coaching classes but after perusing for two years I failed to clear the medical entrance. It shattered all my dreams at one blow. I was really confused and I lost all my confidence and wanted to take very bad steps in life…J I discontinued my B-Sc studies from St. Xavier’s Calcutta. For three months I stayed at my home without doing anything. It was really a black phase of my life. Due to my parents support I prepared for engineering entrance for only four months. Before those days I never thought of studying engineering. I cleared the test and joined one private institute in Durgapur. From that moment on-wards I never dreamt anymore for the events of my life anymore. I never thought for long term I tried to live on the present. I only concentrated on studies and topped for six consequent semesters or for three years and received the topper position in Computer Science and Engineering stream. I got the job and it is quite good career till date. I never ever thought of these career or profession in my dream. Always dreamt of one medical profession but never thought about plan B. As a result I have to face some very bad and harsh reality in life. But I think the effect is the cumulative results of  our effort and thoughts. I think I am lucky enough to pass through that turmoil in my life and it gave me enough confidence now to move forward.

Failure is not that you failed to achieve something but failure to me is when you stop to stand up once again and work hard to achieve it in life. The early set back and failure gave me immense mental strength to judge and to set realistic goals in life. As Mr. A.P J. Kalam told we need to think big and to dream to achieve that. Some events occurred in our life because it is destined to do that. But the lesson I learnt by hard way is that always set realistic goals in life and have a plan B in place to move on. Don’t emotionally move to a single direction ignoring everything in life otherwise you will find a dead end. You need to keep in mind that the real world is different place then the dream world. Everyone is competing with everyone…May be in social life …maybe in professional life…The inner strength is very important to continue and move forward as real human being…I tried to learn from the very mistake I have done in life…The answer I got is because of my own action or own thought process I tried to ignore the reality…but end of the day I have to face that …I never blame anyone…I am lonely responsible for my actions both good and bad.

Life is great labeler. It is journey that shows both ups and downs.
We laugh… We cry…We fight…We party…We compete…We play…We learn…We pray..
We think...We fly…We fail…We try…We Work…We Shy…We live in high…

So always think positive in life and face the reality as it comes in open mind. The opportunities lie behind every challenge. It really makes life beautiful.

The Way to Become A SUPERPOWER.......

Now a days we are hearing a term very commonly used that India will become a superpower in 2020.There is no doubt about the fact that as world fastest young population growing country we surely have all the levers for accelerate in every sphere and become the world power. We can proudly say that as due to internal demand and a vast population really helped us to overcome the recession blues very well. Our financial system and policies are robust then all other Developed countries. Man Mohan Singh has shown the world leaders the rite path to overcome the ailing recession. Our GDP and per capita income is growing steadily and makes other developing country to closely monitor that. As the American and European investment houses and financial institutes predicts India and China will be the Superpower in coming 20 or 30 years down the line. So it seems everything is very rosy for us and for the future generation to come.

But I am little bit skeptical about the current way of events happening and thinking of out citizens. Are we not little bit complacent about the future? Are not behaving like we are already one of the developed countries? Are we not ignoring the inclusive development? Are we not tiring hard to remove the darkness of corruption from our country? I believe most of the answers will be YES.

Still there is the division in our society about Have and Have-nots. In the Peepli live movie you can find that picture is very well depicted. Each day you will find scams are happing which are dealt with huge money. Some of the powerful people are involved and still they get away quickly using their influence and other advantages. The CWG episode or recently the Eden gardens fall out it really not showed the bright picture to the world forum. When we are campaigning Incredible India to the western world are we not be responsible enough to organize and accountable to showpiece our country well to them. We really lack good executioners and administrators those who are sincere and honest and hard working to end projects on time and be done very well.

As a young country we the young generation need to come up and show the others the road ahead. We need to take very important role in building our nation in the coming years. We can’t be complacent, we can’t do lapses, and we cannot encourage the corruption in our society. We all need to stand up and move forward with full of energy. It is quite a long way that we need to travel to become a superpower. We need to have the fellow felling. It is not that we can grow as individual if the whole society or as whole the country doesn’t grow at that pace that we intend to move. If we introspect I am sure we can find some of old habits which are really barriers to our growth. We never confront them head on. We tried to always ignore or by pass those hard questions or situation or practice in our society. I believe this is the time when we need to ask those questions to you and also to the society. It is very easy to pass the buck to others but if we don’t change our mind set and approach to life can the society or country will change. No it is not possible. We are the leaves of a very big banyan tree If the tree doesn’t grow well then the leaves will certainly fall from that.

Also are we not thinking more of materialistic pleasures and wasting our time and money behind that only. Are we not becoming very self centric and perusing the way for our own benefits and if it impact badly others life it hardly matters to us.

I believe we have all the ingredients and force to become a Superpower. We have the brains, knowledge, policies, great leaders and visionaries those who can guide us to reach the final destination. But we need to carry forward that our past generation started in a very processed manner. Always thinking about the inclusive growth as a nation. We will really feel proud at that moment as a citizen of the SUPERPOWER.

Happy reading… Bon appétit …
